SaeRimi - My Secretary - 01

My Secretary 01
Otsuka Sae x Nishimoto Rimi
A/N:  This is basically my twitter SaeRimi AU where Rimi is CEO!Sae’s Secretary. I had a summary in mind, but maybe it’s much better that I don’t spoil anything—

  • Will be in full English because lots of complicated sentences and words would probably come up and I’ll die.

Twenty-three year old Chief Executive Officer Otsuka Sae always dressed fashionably to work. Although some employees think that she just lives two or three floors below their work floor, her family owned the whole 18-floor building where all sorts of the Otsuka family business is being ran at.

Due to circumstances, the Otsuka gaming company, Hanazonoland, that Sae’s father himself built was passed down onto her for management as her father and mother decided to look into other endeavors, also known as traveling the whole world. The other companies, such as a Zoo, a Bunny Café and other franchises were being run by her family’s other trusted employees, Sae still wondered every single day, since the day she was appointed as CEO of this company, why it was this one that was given to her.

Sae leaned her head onto her closed fist as she clicked her pen very quickly, her feet tapping impatiently on the floor. She moved her waist length wavy long hair to one of her shoulders, exposing her neck as she stared at a document on her computer.

She could’ve received management of the Bunny Café, or the Zoo, since she liked animals, but why was it the gaming company that was given to her? She doesn’t even know half of these terminologies, the last time she played a game was when she was in high school.

She had wanted different things in life.

She slammed her pen onto the glass covered table and contemplated to shove away all the folders and papers that crowded her table, but her responsible side didn’t allow her to do so. She felt the callouses on her finger tips with her thumb and sighed.

She picked up the pen again and continued on clicking it, not even paying attention to the person who just entered her office.

Her siblings, two younger sisters and the youngest, a little brother, all were busy going to school, with the sisters being in high school and middle school and the youngest in elementary. They’ve been living together with their aunts in Kanagawa, but being the oldest member of the family in the country, it was her responsibility to check in on them, and pay their needs for school, so sometimes she would visit them, or they would rudely visit her in her office that she has never left since her appointment two months ago.

(Maybe I need a secretary…)

“I think you need a secretary.” The female who entered her office spoke as she dropped off another stack of papers on her table. “You’re about 2 weeks behind in paperwork, and all our numbers are in the red, Boss-chan-Saechi.”

“I was just thinking that just now, Ayasa.” Sae stopped the clicking of her pen and stretched on her comfortable chair.

“That we’re in the red and you’re finally gonna catch up on paperwork?”

“No. That I need a secretary.”

Her parents has been traveling the world for the past two months, and seemingly absorbed in their second, third, fourth, uhh… fifth honeymoon, they never even think to check in on her. She wasn’t sure if they just trusted her to do well, or that they just really didn’t care. Receiving this company was supposedly a punishment… it sure is starting to feel like one.

However, no one told her that she couldn’t get help to make things even slightly easier for her, by getting herself a secretary.

“Ayasa, type me up a job listing. No need for my approval, you can post it right away.”

“Okay Boss-chan-Saechi.” Ayasa saluted her before leaving the room.

“Stop that.”

“Okay, Boss-chan-Saechi.”

“Isn’t it a mouthful?”

“Getting even just a slight reaction makes it worth it.” Ayasa pondered it a moment. “It is a mouthful, though.”

“Haha, thought so.”

Three days after the secretary listing was posted, Ayasa had forwarded her already the resume of prospective secretaries as well as sending them to her for scheduling. Sae freed up her whole day to screen applicants that would hopefully help her finish her now three week backlog of papers, and help her with work and managing her tight schedules on a daily basis.

(Why didn’t I think of this until now?)

She immediately answered her own question.

“Yeah, cause you’re a weirdo who thinks you’re a grown up woman now, who can handle everything in life and need no adult help—“

“Um…” A calm voice called out to her and she immediately stopped her monologue and turned around her chair. “The female, named Ayasa told me to just go inside since I’ve been knocking since fifteen minutes ago… Should I not have?”

Sae blinked as she stared the female from head to toe. She made weird hand gestures in front of her. “No, no, no. It’s fine. Thank you. Sorry I was spacing out...” She turned to look behind her. (I was busy doing a monologue...)

“It’s alright, I’ll pretend I didn’t hear anything...” The female immediately covered her mouth. “...I heard nothing.”

She looked like as young as her if not, maybe younger than her. She swallowed and tried to look for the young female in front of her in her folder of applicants. She finally found the female’s resume and Sae moved a lock of hair behind her ear as she felt her heart beat faster. She wasn’t sure if it was because she’s nervous or if it was because this lady just caught her in a private moment.

“Nishimoto Rimi... Hmm.. Mm, mm.” Sae tried to retain her shock over the fact that this woman is a year older than her. “Oh, s- sorry. Please have a seat.”

“Thank you.” The applicant named Rimi smiled at her sweetly, and Sae tried her best not to let her reaction show on her face, but oh man, why is she so bad at it?

With her desk being right beside the CEO’s Office’s door, she watched each applicant go in and out of the room. She just watched the last applicant go outside and watched Sae’s reaction right as the door was closing. Ayasa thought this as the opportunity to go inside and ask her how the interview went.

“Guess you liked that last one?”

“...M- Maybe...?”

“Saechi...”

“...Y-Yes...”

“We’re decided then.”

Sae hit her head onto her desk as she tried her best to be rational with her decision.

She’s definitely done a rational decision... right?
